About the book –
Neil Gaiman once said that ‘the world always seems brighter when you’ve just made something that wasn’t there before’. This little book is the embodiment of that vision.
Drawn together from speeches, poems and creative manifestos, Art Matters explores how reading, imagining and creating can change the world, and will be inspirational to young and old.
Book Review –
Must read! Hardly took me an hour to finish this sweet little book.
I am going to read every once in a while to remind myself of the wisdom which this book has to offer on how important it is to create art. It is a collection of short essays with beautiful illustrations by Chris Riddell.
Niel tells us about the secrets of freelancing and the power of reading, daydreaming and having libraries & librarians. How he started and how he climbed the mountain. And he also told us about how he ended up with the name – Coraline.
