A finance girl trapped inside Sylvia Plath’s mind and Albert Camus’ world.
Hi! If you have been thinking who am I or if you just casually stumbled upon this page to read about me then let me give you a very short introduction about myself.
I am a 26 year old who never read a book in her school days. But something happened when I turned 19. I read this book The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini and one book led to another and today I have read over hundreds of books. I talk about books all day and night. Infact, I started cancelling other hangout plans only to stay back home and read books. Also, I literally talk about books everywhere. Literally. Even on YouTube.
My reading choices have evolved over the years now. I read contemporary, historic fiction, socio-political fiction. I love reading fiction! I have fallen in love with Sylvia Plath. I am exploring more about Existential Literature these days after Camus messed us with my head.
I think you can pretty much make out by reading the above paragraph that I am a nerd. And I don’t regret it one bit. I can’t imagine my days (forget weeks) without books. I would happily spend an entire day alone with a good book.
In addition to being so passionate about reading books, I love to explore and understand how the financial and the economic world works. I keep learning about various concepts, fundamentals and strategies by reading economic, financial and business books.
Before I leave (E-leave?), let me share one of my favorite quotes –
“When they asked me what I wanted to be I said I didn’t know. “Oh, sure you know,” the photographer said. “She wants,” said Jay Cee wittily, “to be everything.” – Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”– Lao Tzu
